I’m Gerri, a UK dedicated Celebrant, based in Kent, who just loves weddings. Making each ceremony a little different, no sticking to rules, and being as flexible. My clients tell me I am fun relaxed, approachable and easy to talk to.

A while ago, Ian and I got married in Australia on Lizard Island by a celebrant who made the ceremony into something special, unique and just for us. There and then I decided I wanted to become a Celebrant and give other couples the experience I had on that day. I am so blessed with having Ian by my side for wedding ceremonies. He drives me to each venue, no matter where so I arrive calm, stress free and relaxed.

Prior to becoming a Celebrant, I worked in the NHS, meeting people from all walks of life. Each day different with different problems and solutions.

I have also been on a TV quiz show called the Pyramid Game, so I know all about nerves! What a fun day resulting in my winning £150. I just love dancing and so joined classes for Latin and Ballroom. However, I don’t think “Strictly” contestants have anything to fear. Any spare time I do get, you can find me singing along to the radio — I even joined Rock Choir.

One of the biggest achievements was receiving the Freedom of the City of London, I am a member of the Butcher’s Company, one of the oldest Livery Companies. In fact Ian and I have driven sheep over London Bridge (being very careful as to where we put our feet).

So as you can see, I have had a varied life so far, full of life experiences, meeting so many people, listening to so many stories they all had to tell. I can’t wait to hear your story and translate it into an amazing ceremony.

“Gerri was excellent from the first point of contact to the ceremony itself. She informed us of our options for the ceremony and gave us some great ideas too. Gerri kept in regular contact throughout to ensure she delivered the ceremony we wanted. Would highly recommend.”
